The Office of Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez invites NY-14 community members of all ages to participate in the 2026 Summer Reading Challenge! The reading challenge will run from June 1st to September 1st. Upon completion of 10 books, participating constituents will receive congressional commendations from our office.

Washington, D.C. - Today, Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY-14) strongly opposed a bill at an Energy and Commerce Full Committee Markup that would prevent policies or enforcement of engine idling restrictions under 15 minutes for buses, and eradicate a program that lets residents report idling they see in their own neighborhoods, directly targeting New York City.
